Busy Cycling Week
Hi all,.
Beautiful weather has lead to a big increase in cyclist out in the last week, there was a great turn out at the weekend, for the Pieta House fundraiser starting in O Malley's Bar in Cross
As you can see from the photo it was full of WLCC Members in the bunch for the 100km Cycle, the Tuesday night group was well represented in the 50km cycle. The 100km cycle featured a mix of racers including former pro's some A1, A2 & A3 and a good mix of club racers, the group more or less stayed together and saying it was an average of 36Km per hr by the turn in party and bit less out to the food stop in Partry. I think it was said before the start that it was not a race but we were not listening lol. Well done to all who organised the event and there was great support and food at the stops, in fact a few may have gained a few lbs over the course of the cycle.
The Tuesday and Thursday spins are really going well and keep this going.
Upcoming events include
Next Rd of the Mayo League in Cong on Wednesday 8th of June
